PUBLIC PRE-LAUNCH · ESTIMATOR PREVIEW
Your waterfront, in outline.
Shape a starting point for a conversation. Not an engineered design, quote, or structural approval.
Experimental preview — not a quote
Budgets and material takeoffs are unverified and can be inconsistent. They must not be relied on for material purchases or construction. Request a firm quote and site-specific design review from Colonial Piers before proceeding.
Chrome crashed during testing. Edge is an alternative, not a guarantee of reliability. Inputs are not saved.
Unapproved concept assembly / connection schedule
Member sizes, spacing, supports, hardware and packages are illustrative assumptions—not approved recommendations or a construction specification.

Select piling lengths
Click a visible pile to select it. Shift-click toggles more piles. On touch screens, enable multi-select or use the checkbox list below. Gold piles are selected; the list identifies them in text. Only total length changes, never the bearing height or diameter.
Keyboard / touch piling list
The overall length is the default for unoverridden piles. Reset removes only selected overrides. Position, section size or diameter changes prune affected custom lengths with a notice. Nothing is permanently saved.
Selected supports — request design review
Separate from actual total-length edits above. Requests do not change solids or the base budget. Not modeled — design/clearance review required. Use selected IDs above. Mixed values are shown as mixed; only edited fields change. New targets require an explicit height and policy.
Software input bounds only: above deck 0–60 ft; total 4–60 ft; diameter 6–18 in. Not engineering limits. Profile: round-unspecified; treatment, taper and stock unknown.
Unverified budgets and material takeoffs — may be inconsistent; not for material purchases or construction. Request a firm quote and site-specific design review.
Materials-only estimated allowance
Provisional USD planning figures, not actual supplier costs or an installed quote. All adopted rates and bounds are estimates, not a guaranteed maximum or statistical confidence interval.
Material quantities & estimated price breakdown
Estimated required quantities include any unpositioned hardware allowances; not installed or purchase quantities. Effective unit allowances and quantities are rounded for display; line totals use unrounded effective rates and quantities, rounded once to cents per material. Each range is low–high with a reference estimate.
| Material / quantity | Estimated rate / line cost |
|---|
- Required materials allowance subtotal
- Separate estimated 10% lumber cutting/waste allowance
Cutting/waste applies only to decking, joists, rims, caps, bearers and solid wood blocking—not piles, floats or hardware. Required counts are unchanged; full-stock/package purchasing and order optimization are not calculated.
Price basis, published comparisons & exclusions
All adopted rates are estimated allowances, not actual supplier costs. Published comparisons below are dated observations, not local delivered quotes, approved materials, selected products or purchasable equivalents to this model. Store, stock size and package terms differ. No supplier is contacted by this estimator.
Excluded from this allowance
Weight data pending. Owner pricing administration, saved quotations and a quoting backend are not implemented.
Published reference observations — not adopted unit rates

Read the assembly & hardware assumptions
Each section owns its members. Split caps sit on opposite pile faces, with through-bolts, heads, nuts and washers. Joists bear on the caps, with angle brackets and face straps at supported butt splices. Adjacent platforms have bolted doubled-edge joints. Floating frames have separate bearers and float attachment straps; they have no piles.
Hardware is a schematic, unapproved schedule: one bolt assembly at each modeled pile/cap segment connection; one angle with separate connector fasteners at each modeled joist bearing; face splice straps; two deck screws per modeled board/joist bearing patch. Hardware dimensions, holes, edge distances, field fit, corrosion compatibility and manufacturer fastener schedules require owner / qualified design review. Deck screws are not structural connector fasteners. Timber is shown as gross solids: fastener passages and thin recessed rim / platform plate seats are intentional intersections, recorded separately in the model; bores and seats are not subtracted from timber quantities. Recesses, edge distances and field fit are unapproved assumptions.
Synthetic decking gaps continue across touching sections. Partial contacts use shallow edge notches in the same board, not extra unsupported board ends. Linear-foot allowances use gross cut-piece length, not removed notch volume. These edge cuts and connection seats are unapproved concept details requiring qualified installation review.
Estimated required pieces are not installed pieces or stock orders: stock cutting plans, procurement lengths, bracing, lateral stability, anchoring, gangways, mooring and flotation capacity are not calculated. Floating waterline/freeboard is not predicted. No load rating is supplied.

Some things need a conversation.
Boathouses, boat/PWC lifts, ramps, mooring poles, and unusual layouts require individual review. No load rating, flotation capacity or weight is calculated here. Materials-only allowances exclude installation and site-specific work.
